Soul (2020) Movie Reaction
Title: Soul Year Released: 2020 Rating: PG Score: 6.8 I had a strange experience watching this movie. I've be following Pixar heavily for a few years now, ever since I came across the Super Carlin Brothers YouTube channel where they dive into theories and Easter eggs. Since becoming more engaged in the watching and thinking about Pixar movies, I've thoroughly enjoyed each one that I've watched. I also enjoyed this movie, but at the end I just didn't really feel anything. I found that very odd for a movie that more than any other Pixar movie seems to lean into the message of the movie, rather than the story being the main feature. This movie actually catalyzed my remodeling of my movie rankings. I originally had it ranked as an 8.3, but after thinking about it, it just isn't an 8+ movie for me. I'm someone who overthinks quite a lot. I get in my own head, and think about stuff way more than they should be thought about. This movie seemed like it was made to make...
